Dr Faizan Zaheer

Faizan Zaheer is a GDC registered Specialist in Periodontology and has a Masters degree in Dental Research. He is proud to have had a number of prestigious publications in gum grafting techniques and continues his passion for research at the University of Manchester. He is extensively involved in post graduate education, where he trains dentists on some of the more complex aspects of periodontics. Alongside doing clinical work Faizan is a Regional Clinical Dental for Bupa Dental Care, where he is responsible for ensuring high standards of patient care are maintained across the region.

Faizan graduated from University College Cork Dental School in 2009 having been gifted a number of undergraduate awards and scholarships, including the prestigious national “H.H. Stuart prize in Dentistry”. Since qualifying, he has engaged in a wide variety of clinical and academic experiences, working in private practices, general hospitals, as well as a University Dental Hospital setting.

Faizan takes great pride in delivering the highest level of teaching to qualified dentists in the field of periodontology and peri-implantitis. His teaching style is revolves around practical application of clinical knowledge while being deeply rooted in an evidence based approach.

Apart from his professional attributes he is an accomplished classical and electric guitar player. In his spare time he is a keen player and spectator of football. He also loves art and has a modest portfolio of charcoal and pencil sketches.
